Ummah Store at 18 Farrelly Avenue, Mt Roskill — Islamic clothing and products, 4.8 stars. For abayas and hijabs, also check the shops along Sandringham Road and Great South Road in Otahuhu. Several online NZ stores also ship nationwide — search "Islamic clothing NZ" for current options. The Kelston Islamic Centre (45 Cartwright Road) community may also have recommendations.

Abrakebabra at 114 Devonport Road, Tauranga CBD (4.4 stars). Lolo Authentic Turkish Kitchen at 97B Maunganui Road, Mt Maunganui (4.8 stars) — excellent. Cafe Istanbul at 3/47 Cherrywood Drive, Otumoetai (4.8 stars). Dost Turkish Cafe at 171 Chadwick Road, Greerton (4.9 stars). All serve halal meat.
