What is the usual practice here at the end of a rental housing contract in Auckland?
Do I need to go through the same process of contract signing and bond submission?
I.e if the landlord wants to continue with me as a tenant and vice versa.
It depend on Landlord or Agent … mostly (use to be) keep it open once term finished but now they are very strict because of Demand & supply issue…
Now owners or agents keep tracking contract dates to review it (rent increament purposes because more rent means more commission & more Saving in Mortgage …

It will continue till you both are happy to carry on…its now a periodic tenancy…if either of you want to end the tenancy you have to give 21 days notice and if he asks you to vacate the house he will give you 40 days notice.
