Closure of Auckland Hotel and Chefs Training School
The NZQA has been advised that Auckland Hotel and Chefs Training School (AHCTS) is closing on 26 June 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19 on its ongoing viability. The school currently has 30 international students as per media reports.
It is apparent that affected students must be experiencing a distressing situation at the moment.
However, there could be two choices going forward:
Study the same programme: Will need to apply for a Variation of Condition (VOC). There are providers available that offer similar courses.
Study a different programme: If the reasons for the change, of course, are convincing and reasonable, a new Student Visa application can be lodged.
Either way, Vandana Rai and her team are there to assist the students of Auckland Hotel and Chefs Training School in their time of need to go forward in their careers with confidence.
