if one was to seek citizenship in new Zealand as a skilled migrant or on the skills shortage list, are you required to live there right away or live there a certain amount of years to gain your passport?
Minimum of 5 years residency after acquiring a residency class visa I believe
In the first 2 years You have to live for 6 months in each of the years. After the 2 years you get permanent residency and you keep that status. After 5 years of being in NZ you can apply for citizenship.
