Has anyone ever travelled to NZ through Australia on Indian passport? Do we need a transit visa even if not leaving the airport?
You need transit visa even if you do not intend to leave airport. I transited via Brisbane once and Sydney other time. The visa application is all online, and there is no visa fee. You would get evisa in 3 working days. I know people who were sent back from australia and Singapore airports so do not fly without having it. Hope it helps.
