What is the best way to buy affordable yet reliable car on arrival?
When we arrived here, we looked at trademe, facebook groups/marketplace and http://www.backpackerboard.co.nz/noticeboard/cars-campervans.php. The later two seemed to be cheaper. As far as reliability is concerned, its always tricky for used cars but I tend to go for Toyotas as Iām familiar with them.

Whenever buying a second-hand/used car it is wise to do a pre-purchase assessment beforehand to avoid any surprises later on. I have used both AA and VTNZ pre-purchase assessment and would highly recommend them to anyone buying a used car.
