Halal options in Gisborne are limited compared to bigger cities. There is a halal red meat shop and a few eateries. The local Indian restaurants are your best bet. Also check recommended activities — the area has beautiful beaches and bush walks.

Fergburger is the famous spot and they have halal options. Komunal Cafe does authentic halal Malaysian food. Options are more limited than Auckland but growing.
