Rentals are usually weekly (not monthly). Bond is max 4 weeks rent, held by Tenancy Services (not landlord). You need: photo ID, proof of income, references. Inspect the property and take photos before moving in. The Residential Tenancies Act protects you. Check trademe.co.nz/property and realestate.co.nz for listings. Avoid paying anything before viewing in person โ rental scams exist.
