Many employers in New Zealand prefer to hire people who already have got a work visa. So, what do we need first: a work visa or a job?
Getting a work visa beforehand would make you more eligible in the eyes of recruiters. I have heard of people having valid job offers but not getting their work visa sorted in time hence it’s riskier.
Seems like a catch 22 situation. On the other side when you apply for work visa or residence they ask for a job offer. I think more than 90 percent EOIs that do not have job offer are not selected for ITA.
